Tableau Cloud is an instance of Tableau Server hosted by Salesforce. This course shows intermediate to advanced users who have been tasked with establishing and/or maintaining a Tableau Cloud site how to create a site, manage users and user permissions, and define groups, tasks, and jobs for data extraction and management. Instructor Curt Frye takes you through data management and evaluation usingTableau Prep, which cleans and shapes data from multiple sources, and how to define metrics using Tableau Pulse. Learn the essential skills needed to take on the challenge of managing a Tableau Cloud site and establish a base from which you can develop your abilities through experience and further study.

Learning objectives
Explain the key components of Tableau Cloud, including user management, projects, collections, and permissions, and describe the basic steps in creating a Tableau Prep data flow.
Set up and manage a Tableau Cloud site, including adding users, creating projects, scheduling tasks, and monitoring site status to ensure optimal performance and security.
Use Tableau Prep to join multiple data sources, identify and remove duplicate records, and apply various data cleaning techniques such as splitting fields, merging fields, and converting data types.
Assess the effectiveness of their data preparation workflows in Tableau Prep and make informed decisions about which data cleaning and transformation techniques to apply for optimal results.
Design and implement a complete data analytics workflow using Tableau Cloud and Tableau Prep, including creating and sharing metrics using Tableau Pulse, and incorporating these metrics into interactive dashboards.
