This course provides a broad overview of the different types of design patterns available for serverless application development and deployment. Instructor Lynn Langit covers the core concepts behind serverless, including its costs, benefits, and risks. Then she reviews serverless services, including messaging, storage, streaming, payment processing, and deployment, as well as two of the most widely used cloud-native serverless architectures: AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Each chapter is illustrated with real-world use cases showcasing the cost, scalability, and productivity benefits of serverless architecture in action.
