As more and more businesses today go global and more and more materials and merchandise are transferred from one country to another, it’s more important than ever to understand the requirements of conducting logistics activities internationally. In this course, Steven Brown covers the information that anyone who ships materials internationally needs to know. Steven covers topics like how logistics evolved globally, the special considerations unique to international logistics (including security and managing cultural differences), the different transportation modes available, and effective methods for controlling inventory. He also looks at the 11 international commercial terms, or “Incoterms,” that define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers in global trade.
